Seeing Santa and Putting up the Christmas Tree

We went to see Santa right before Thanksgiving at the mall.  Avery was so excited to see him but was really shy once we actually got there.  Lily wanted nothing to do with Santa.

When we were in Idaho one weekend we decided to go up to Amanda's parents property and cut us down a Christmas Tree.  Forest Christmas trees may not be perfect but they are so much fun!   We rode the 4wheeler in to get it with our little trailer on the back.  We got so muddy!  After much debate we found the "one."
We had to decorate it fast since Brian had to take a work trip the next week.  We did this after watching the First Presidency's Christmas Devotional.  The kids got a little bored but were really excited for the pop at the end.  We have the tradition of having Brian do a toast with sparkling juice as he puts the star on the top of the tree.  This year was no exception!

Lily loved getting all the decorations out, especially the balls

Lily Joy Turns 2!

Our sweet little girl turned 2 on November 11, 2012.  We can't believe she is already that big!  It was a Sunday and we did have some family down from Saturday for the BYU football game (in the snow at like midnight) and some came down to Avery's 1st Primary Program and her birthday. We came home from church and had a good dinner.  Then we opened presents, in which Lily really liked finding the presents.  She seemed to have a great day!  We love our little Lily!
she sure loves her bubble bath!

Her Dora Skis
Lily also got some skis for her birthday.  They are 67cm skis with Dora the Explorer pictures on them.  We couldn't pass them up when we saw them at a ski swap.  She really loves them and wants to put them on anytime there is mention of skis or snow.  Whether or not she only likes them because they are Dora, we will have to see.
her very runny but yummy frosted cupcakes
we made sure there was no burn accidents this year with the candle
digging right in!
