Antelope Island

Memorial Day was spent around our home since we didn't want to travel too far with the baby coming in just a couple of weeks.  So to start off the long weekend we decided to make a trip to Antelope Island, which is something every Utahan should do atleast once in their life, atleast those that live in northern Utah.
We went to the visitor center and then we went on a little hike to a viewpoint.  Avery really wanted to ride his bicycle up the mountain, but he didn't manage to get it too far.  Sometime we will have to go back and try out the "swimming" or rather "floating" in the Great Salt Lake, but we didn't venture out to the water today.  There are so many bugs!

Then we decided to go over to the Ranch side of the island to see what was up there.  It made us think about Montana where all of Brian's family was spending the weekend at a family reunion.  The kids really liked the roping "cows" as well as the dinner bells.

We saw a whole herd of Buffalo booking it across the road.  It was fun to see them running.
