Wow, the day has came. It is such a bitter sweet day to have your kids start kindergarten! It is also a fun and crazy experience to send your oldest off to big kid school! Avery was so excited to start school. That morning he got up super early and since the rest of us wanted to sleep in a little longer, he got dressed by himself, set the table and even "made" breakfast (by setting the cereal stuff on the table). This kid was ready for school!

Well Avery really wanted to ride his bike to school. It is almost a mile ride, but not too bad of a ride. We left in plenty of time (the whole family that is). It was crazy to see him at the school trying to park his bike and everything.

He loved school even though he was super shy to meet new friends. Luckily his best friend Christopher was in his class. He has the most awesome teacher too!
And then the next week...Avery and Lily got the stomach flu! Avery missed most of the week except Friday and Lily missed the real first day of preschool.
She probably still was a little sick but I had her go the second day. Needless to say she wasn't the happiest (especiallyh to take pictures). But she actually does love preschool.
