Happy Birthday Avery!

Our little boy is six years old!  How time flies when you are having fun!  And we have had so much fun with our Avery!

We had a fun day which was actually spent doing all sorts of things.  In the morning of his birthday we had decorated the house with balloons for his birthday.  Then we did the "hot and cold" game to find his presents (a Turpin tradition).  Avery knew he wasn't going to get a lot for his birthday since he really just asked for money for his birthday so he could save up for a gas dirtbike.  After finding his gifts and opening them. we delivered his invitations for his party the next Monday and then went to Lagoon with Amanda's family for a fun day and to also celebrate Grandpa Downs birthday (which is the same day as Grandpas)  it was a great day!

For this birthday party the following Monday, we had a bunch of kids come over and we played some old school games like musical chairs and Red Light, Green Light.  It was fun, especially since we played musical chairs with Star Wars music.  Then we came in for some cake and ice cream.  Avery wanted another dirbike cake, and that is what he got- it doesn't look too shabby does it?

Then we taught the kids "Heavy heavy hang over thy poor head, what do you wish with a bump on the head?"  where he had to make a wish for everyone that gave him a gift.  He received a lot of nice gifts from all his nice friends!

We sure do love this kid!  We can't believe he is another year older and wiser too!
